Creative Direction is offered as a separate service, available for those seeking a more in-depth service with the aim of enhancing your personality through fashion.  In other personal styling services this is done to a degree but limited to time with a focus on enhancing your natural physical looks; complexion and body shape.  In the Creative Direction process, I’ll translate your skills, values, experiences, and passions into concepts, creating a visual design strategy consisting of a mood board and mind map.  The result will be a coherent ‘look and feel’ which will form part of your visual identity, and acts as a reference you can use to achieve consistency in your communication through your website and social media channels.

I also offer a photo shoot service.  Through a trusted network of photographers, makeup artists, and hair stylists, I support full production needs, ensuring cohesive branding across all visual channels. I looked at about 15 different personal stylists in London before deciding on Marika. I had a hunch that she would be the best choice - and I was absolutely correct. Marika helped me get out of the fashion ruts that I wasn’t happy with but didn’t know how to change. I went in with a frumpy work-from-home athleisure wear look and came out looking like a modern woman with the touch of edge I was looking for. Most of the other stylists I saw seemed like the finished looks of their clients came out boring and without any personality. I’m so thrilled with my new style. I actually get excited to get dressed in the morning now vs. dreading it. I loved learning about colors that look best on my skin tone. There are two colors that I would never have thought suited me but now I am a fan of wearing. Plus some of the figure-hugging and feminine items Marika picked out for me really wowed my fiance - so that was a bonus!

My fiance and I have learned so much from her... everywhere we go now, we see what she’s taught us about fashion. And it’s been fun to learn about the best colors and styles that suit each other, so now him and I are always spotting items that we know would look good on each other. 

Besides having exceptional taste, Marika went above and beyond to accommodate us during the busy holiday season. 

It’s true that hiring a private stylist and shopper is a luxury service however, I have rarely booked something where the value received was so much greater than the fees for the service provided. We both agree we just can’t go back to the old way of shopping again. You save a ton of time, you get a better final outcome as all of your outfits have a MUCH more cohesive look, and less hassle. You don’t have to trudge through store after store trying to find clothing that you like and that’s in your size or wait in long lines at fitting rooms or checkout queues. Plus, she put together detailed and customized reports for us to reference if we do want to shop on our own. 

Not only do we look forward to seeing what treasures she’ll find for us this next shopping trip around, we are also excited to spend time with her again too! She’s has a lovely personality so hanging out in a changeroom with her for 8+ hours is a joy. :)
